Our Commitment

East Sky MSP is committed to making www.eastskymsp.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We build and maintain this site so that people who use screen readers, keyboard only navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology can find our information, understand our services, and reach us.

Accessibility is not a one time project for us. It is part of how we build, review, and maintain the site.

Conformance Status

Target standard: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium.

Current status: Partially conformant. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, and some content does not yet fully meet it. Known gaps are listed in the Known Limitations section below, along with what we are doing about them.

We also track WCAG 2.2 Level AA and are progressively adopting its additional success criteria as we update the site.

What We Have Done

The following measures are in place across the site:

Structure and navigation

  • Semantic HTML with a logical heading order on every page
  • Landmark regions so assistive technology users can jump to the header, navigation, main content, and footer
  • A skip to main content link as the first focusable element on every page
  • A consistent navigation structure and page layout across the site
  • Descriptive, unique page titles

Keyboard access

  • All interactive elements reachable and operable with a keyboard alone
  • Visible focus indicators that meet contrast requirements
  • Logical, predictable tab order matching the visual reading order
  • No keyboard traps in menus, dialogs, or embedded content

Visual design

  • Text and background color combinations that meet or exceed a 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio for body text and 3 to 1 for large text
  • Interface components and meaningful graphics that meet a 3 to 1 contrast ratio
  • Information never conveyed by color alone
  • Text that reflows without loss of content or function when zoomed to 200 percent
  • Layout that adapts to a 320 pixel wide viewport without horizontal scrolling
  • Touch targets sized for reliable activation

Content and media

  • Alternative text on images that convey information
  • Decorative images marked so screen readers skip them
  • Link text that describes its destination without relying on surrounding context
  • Plain language throughout, with technical terms explained on first use

Forms

  • Every input has a persistent, programmatically associated label
  • Required fields identified in text, not by color or symbol alone
  • Error messages that identify the field, describe the problem, and suggest a correction
  • Errors announced to assistive technology
  • Autocomplete attributes on common fields such as name, email, and phone

Motion and timing

  • No content that flashes more than three times per second
  • Animation reduced or removed when a visitor's system requests reduced motion
  • No time limits on reading or completing forms

Assessment Approach

We evaluate accessibility using a combination of methods:

  • Automated testing with industry standard scanning tools during development and on a recurring schedule
  • Manual keyboard testing of every interactive element and page flow
  • Screen reader testing using NVDA with Firefox, VoiceOver with Safari, and VoiceOver on iOS
  • Contrast verification of every color pairing in our design system against WCAG thresholds
  • Zoom and reflow testing at 200 percent and 400 percent magnification
  • Mobile testing on current iOS and Android devices

We review accessibility whenever we publish a new page or template, and we conduct a full site review at least annually.

Known Limitations

We are being straight with you about what does not fully meet our target yet.

Third party embedded content. Some pages may include content served by third parties, such as embedded maps, video players, scheduling widgets, or chat tools. We do not control the code these providers ship. We choose vendors with published accessibility documentation, we test their components before deploying them, and we raise defects with the vendor when we find them. If an embedded component blocks you, contact us and we will give you the same information or service through another channel right away.

PDF documents. Older PDF documents on the site may lack a proper tag structure, reading order, or alternative text. We are remediating existing PDFs and all new documents are published in an accessible format. If you need a document in an accessible format, contact us and we will provide it within 3 business days at no cost.

Legacy pages. Pages published before our current standards took effect may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are updating them on a rolling basis and prioritizing the pages visitors use most.

Complex tables. Some technical comparison tables may be difficult to navigate with a screen reader despite proper markup. We provide the same information in prose form where we can, and we will read a table to you over the phone on request.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with:

  • Current and previous major versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
  • NVDA and JAWS on Windows
  • VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
  • TalkBack on Android
  • Voice control, switch access, and screen magnification software
  • Browser and operating system zoom up to 400 percent

The site may not work as expected on browsers that no longer receive security updates. We recommend keeping your browser and assistive technology current.

Technical specifications. Accessibility relies on HTML, WAI ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript, and on their support by your browser and assistive technology.

Accessibility of Our Services

Our commitment extends past the website. If you are a client or a client's employee and need an accommodation to work with us, tell us and we will make it work. This includes:

  • Extended time on any process without penalty
